Oakville is home to a number of Independent Schools also colloquially known as “Private Schools”. In Oakville there are 14 different independent schools each with their own distinct culture, programs and character. Amongst these institutions there are two single sex schools (One for boys and one for girls) as well as a boarding school for those from out of town or looking for a unique schooling experience.
Founded in 1911, Appleby College is Oakville’s oldest independent school.
